How do we optimize care for patients with depression to improve
their outcomes and satisfaction? This six-month collaborative
learning
opportunity, facilitated by the Institute for Clinical Systems
Improvement (ICSI), will answer that question and others
through an innovative
approach to managing depression in the behavioral health care system.
At this kick-off meeting, youll
hear about specific tools and key functions to assist you in
moving your efforts forward. Focus
areas will include: quality improvement principles for health
system change, infrastructure development to support the use
of a registry
for tracking patient improvement, clinical usefulness of the
PHQ-9 with stepped care treatment approaches, and
the submission process for patient outcome measurement.
Collaborative Goals
The goal of this collaborative is to allow participants the opportunity
to:
Discuss best practice methods with other providers
Share experiences with the routine use of PHQ-9 for clinical decision-making
Develop action plans for building processes & measurement into
daily workflow
